Never thought about the digital output. The macbook mic doubles as a mini toslink input (digital) and leaves me the USB port for midi duties.
I am looking at around £750 shipped for a 2 year old mint ...

I seem to be down to a £1299 Kronos 61 or a £750 M3 with Radias board fitted...
That or wait for the Roland FA....only downside there is M3 doesnt support USB audio but i think the saving in price sh ...

They seem to be well spec'd for the money ( FA06/08 )
I did try the Casio a little while ago and the keyed is lovely, sounds
overall were more than OK but not quite my cup of tea.

Splinters, if you can get used to the slightly "quirky" sound layout and
the fact that there is "Jupiter" in the name doesn't bug you, the Roland JP80

MS-20 Kit would have to be packed VERY well to survive it's travel
in so many parts ..... one drop from UPS ... game over !

You mean the black plastic knobs.... or the pots themselves ?

I can only see a change of the pots to better quality helping any, that's
quite a job though and warranty would be void.
