Wavestate, and it seems also Modwave (maybe also Opsix?) definitely suffer from voice allocation problems.
It occurs quite frequently that a still being held key's voice(s) will get "stolen" ...

For the MODWAVE:
1. power on your Modwave
2. select "Init Performance" (the first one), press Enter
3. set OSC 2 Level to 0% by using OSC 2's LEVEL knob
4. set OSC 1 Mode to Sample by pr ...

I can confirm that MIDI over USB works correctly in Win 10 20H2.

Wavestate is a really great machine! But as a downside, it's also quite demanding in terms of programming effort.
